Explore the revitalization of 835-839 Yonge Street

As a landmark in the neighbourhood, this property is more than just a retail store. We see the potential for it to be a place where community members shop, meet and live.

Our Vision

We are excited to transform 835-839 Yonge Street into a vibrant, mixed-use place. Our vision is to offer retail space while preserving heritage, introduce residential buildings, and bring accessible, open-space to the neighbourhood.

Preserving Heritage

The iconic façade from Grand Central Markets, original to the building completed in 1935, will be retained and integrated into the development. It has been listed on the City of Toronto Heritage Register since 1986.

Introducing Open Space

On the corner of Yonge Street and Church Street, there will be open, landscaped space made accessible to the public. There will also be ample rooftop greenspace, which will be accessible by residents of the towers.

Expanding Housing Options

The development will offer residential spaces in a range of household sizes. With distinctive architecture and design, the two residential towers will add new housing options to the area while responding to the built form of the neighbourhood.
